Synthetic Fuels

At Bridge Classic Cars, we are passionate about preserving the beauty and legacy of classic cars but we have a new passion for doing this while also doing our bit to tackle climate change.

We know that there are a lot of people who can’t imagine classic cars without a combustion engine. We understand this, but we also understand that there is a vital need to do our bit to save the planet. For us, the solution seems obvious, synthetic fuel!

We now run all of our competition cars on P1 Fuels. This is synthetic fuel that reduces emissions by 80% without requiring any form of modification or preparation to your car.

This fuel has been created to be a like-for-like alternative to petrol while having a substantially reduced carbon footprint compared to fossil fuels. This means that classic cars can keep their original engines without the heavy emissions associated with environmental issues.

As the production of synthetic fuels becomes more scalable, this option holds a lot of potential for being the best solution for a sustainable automotive industry.

The synthetic fuel we use has been formulated to be a perfect match for classic car engines to make sure they run smoothly, effectively, and sustainably.

This is a fossil-free fuel which maintains stability without separation so it is great for classics that spend an extended period of time in storage. There is no need to drain the fuel or clean the fuel lines/carbs regardless of how long your car is inactive.

  • Direct replacement of fossil fuel with no engine or vehicle modifications needed
  • Can be legally sold at fuel stations in the US, Europe, and the UK (EN228 Road Compliant)
  • The power of this fossil-free fuel matches that of regular petrol
  • Long shelf-life in the tank (0% ethanol)
  • Well-to-wheel emission reduction of 80% in comparison to fossil fuels

What makes this synthetic fuel even more sustainable is that it is made using 100% non-fossil feedstock. The biomass portion of the process is only sourced from second-generation biomass.

This means that it comes from non-food-based feedstocks such as agricultural residues. By sourcing it in this way, the production never competes with food production.

Our fossil-free fuel is as efficient as the fuel you currently get at petrol stations.

The only thing that is different about it is that it allows for an 80% reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to fossil fuels.
