While the paint shop was carrying out fit-up work on our 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Volante, damage occurred to the boot catch area. The newly installed metalwork had become significantly distorted, which resulted in the catch U-bolt being pulled from its fixings.

Pete has since repaired the affected section, reshaping the metal and reinforcing it to provide additional strength. He also added a countersink before fitting a replacement nutsert, resulting in a much smoother and more robust assembly.
