Jon continued the wiring work for the fan override switch on our 1964 Daimler 250 V8, soldering terminals to the red and black cables. He connected the red cable to a live feed at the fuse box and the black cable to the fan controller. An earth wire was made to run from the switch, which was then drilled and secured to the dash frame. With the wire routed inside the car and trimmed to the correct length, Jon soldered terminals to the switch connections and completed the installation. The fan was tested and confirmed to be operating correctly.
The lower dash trim was refitted. Three small bolts were cut to size and used to secure the washer bottle frame back to the offside inner wing, with the bottle remounted. The underside of the car was wiped clean and blown off with compressed air, the steering joints were greased, and the surrounding area was tidied.
