The suspension components of our 1969 Audi 70L were prepared and painted, beginning with sandblasting to remove rust from the drums and any other removable parts.

Bearing surfaces were carefully masked off to prevent damage. The drums were lightly blasted and then sanded using coarse paper in a cross-hatch pattern to improve bedding for the brake shoes.

The anti-roll bar was removed, painted, and refitted. Shock absorbers were measured in preparation for replacements, while the brake shoes and rear wheel cylinders were sent for refurbishment.

Additionally, new brake lines were fabricated for the rear of the vehicle.
