Following extensive bodywork on our 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Volante, Pete proceeded with fitting the doors. Due to the method required to secure the main body to the ramp during earlier stages, it was not possible to reshape the door skins in situ.

As a result, Pete has begun carefully reshaping the door edges, focusing on achieving the most precise and consistent panel gaps possible across the body. This involves a repeated process of trimming and test fitting, gradually refining the alignment until the desired result is achieved. Once satisfied with the fit, the edges are seam welded to secure the final shape.

Given that the car has undergone restoration work at some point in the past, there remains a significant amount of detailed adjustment and correction required in this area.
