Location: Bridge Classic Cars, The Nursery, Main Road, Pettistree, Woodbridge, Suffolk, IP130HH
The workshop team work a 4-day week; Tuesday to Friday from 6.30am to 5.00pm. Overtime is available in and around the normal working week.
The marketing and office teams run a 5-day week; Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.00pm. Flexible hours and overtime are available.

Head of Engineering
This role is now available due to the Founder and Director’s retirement of Bridge Classic Holdings Limited and its associated limited companies.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this front of house role encompasses everything in engineering that you would expect from one of the leading classic vehicle restoration businesses in the UK.
The day to day role is to liaise with customers in the booking in of work and the running of our busy workshops.
Managing your team and various departments, the organisational aspect of the role is key to ensure that continual throughput is achieved within the various departments to ensure the stages of builds are seamless.
The “Global Workshop Management System” is pivotal in ensuring that all aspects of the project are recognised, captured and adhered to in the workshop, whilst building a photographic and accurate time record leading through to the monthly invoicing stage.
You will be responsible in the production of invoices, working with the Accounts Administrator to a sign off stage by the Managing Director.
It will be your overall responsibility in the maintenance of equipment, company vehicles, the fabric of the building and all of the outside space whilst utilising your team to act without question as it is their norm.
Another focus is on delivering “on time” and “on cost” competition cars to the sister company Bridge Classic Cars Competitions which is currently running at approximately 10 cars per month and continuing.
Requirements:
- A strong manager conversant in a fast pace engineering and vehicle workshop environment.
- A forward thinker to take the company and its enterprises to the next stage.
- An automotive engineer who is able to aid all parties in expert knowledge of the task in hand for troubleshooting.
- A good customer focused manager and ambassador of the various brands.
- A leader in Health and Safety and the keeper of legislation requirement throughout the various sites.
- A manager with the necessary computer skills to function within the office environment. (Global Workshop will be required but previous experience is not necessary as full training will be given).
- A strong financial manager who will be looking at reducing costs, increasing profits whilst not compromising on customer care or site performance.

Classic Car Upholsterer and Trimmer
Bridge Classic Cars are currently seeking an experienced Classic Car Vehicle upholsterer and trimmer. The successful candidate will come with the proven skills and knowledge to produce fantastic quality trim work.
Within our Trim Shop, we offer the full selection of services; for vehicles requiring slight seat alterations through to full strip down, concours restorations. No two projects will be the same.
We are looking for an individual who thrives on a challenge, works to our exacting standards and most importantly, shares our passion for producing amazing quality classic cars and giving an A1 services to each and every customer.
The Trim Shop is equipped with all of the latest technologies and nearly new equipment.

Classic Car Paint Restoration Specialist
We are looking for an enthusiastic and meticulous Classic Car Paint Restoration Specialist.
An eye for detail, good time management and experience in a busy body shop is crucial.
The daily duties of the role include; bodywork stripping and preparation, smaller component painting, chassis painting and bodywork painting.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with both solvent and water-based paint.
Classic Car Mechanic / Servicing / Technician
Are you passionate about classic and vintage vehicles? Are you skilled in most of the essential areas required to maintain, service, repair and restore them? Come and join our classic car workshop team.
To help with the workload of our already busy diary of restoration and servicing projects we are looking to expand the classic car servicing and maintenance division of the business.
You will need to be mechanically skilled with a good understanding of classic cars and the operation of them.
Skills in areas such as; mechanics, traditional fault diagnostics and braking systems. Most importantly though, you must have exceptional attention to detail at all times.
A true passion for classic cars is essential to ensure that these special vehicles are serviced and maintained to the high standards they deserve. We are looking for skills up to MOT standards.

Competitive salary, 4 day working week (40hrs) for our workshops technicians: Tuesday-Friday 6:30am – 5pm. 5 day working week (40hrs) for our office and marketing departments: Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm. Overtime available, generous holidays, pension, health scheme and benefits scheme.
