Chris has stripped our 1969 Audi 70L back to bare metal in preparation for spraying it satin black. The steering components have already been sprayed and refitted, the seats and parcel shelf have been put back in place, and the interior has been thoroughly cleaned, hoovered, and wiped down.

Dave has been progressing with the fittings, starting with the doors and cleaning parts as required. He masked the brake discs, painted the centres, and then fitted the discs and calipers. The trims were installed on the rear wings, the number plate lights were cleaned and fitted, and the rear bumper was painted. The underside at the rear was undersealed, and the bumper irons were fitted after filing out the remaining trim holes. Inner sill trims were installed, and the nearside gutter trim was removed, realigned, and refitted. The boot badges were cleaned, the boot lock and button were fitted, and underseal was applied beneath the arches where the shock absorbers sit. New shock absorbers were fitted, and various parts were cleaned and sandblasted where necessary. All four door lock catches were cleaned and refitted after the bolt holes were tapped out. The nearside rear light was also fitted, and finally, all the wheel bolts were sandblasted and treated with T-phos.
