Adam applied stonechip to the repaired areas in the engine bay of our 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Volante and recorded reference photographs of the roof. He painted and polished the dash and instrument panel, which are now ready to be fitted, and also painted the centre console and steering hub in black.

Steve documented the pictures and lists of roof parts that need to be sent for chroming and sandblasting, ensuring each item was recorded so everything can be accounted for when returned.

Ben has been listing, cleaning, and polishing the required parts at this stage of the project. The panels from the engine bay have been taken to the paint shop to be finished in satin black, while the grille brackets are being painted in body colour. The final pieces of chrome have been gathered for sending off. The dash panels have been colour matched and painted, and once a small leather repair is completed, these can be fitted, allowing the surrounding components to be installed. The seals between the front of the doors and the wings have been fitted, which required removing the door and making a tool to bend in the steel edge of the seal for a proper fit. Additional chrome fittings, including the bonnet stays, have also now been installed.
