The Live Draw for this competition was held on Sunday 1st May 2022.
From the family car to the grassroots racer, the Mini holds a special place in the hearts of so many.
The 1990s saw the greatest move forward in the classic design of the Mini. With numerous mechanical and aesthetic changes from the previous generation, production of the Classic Mini ended at the dawn of the millennium, but these upgrades made the cult classic more useable on a daily basis but keeping that playful and characteristic driving style which can only come from the worlds favourite small car.
This particular 1993 Rover Mini Sprite has had most major works carried out by its previous owner (who took ownership of the car in 2012) which includes a change over to the Sportspack style with flared arches, wider wheels and other changes to update it which was carried out in 2020.
Mechanically, the car has been regularly serviced and any work required has been carried out by several Mini specialists detailed in its history file. Our classic Mini is powered by a 1275cc engine.
In 2018, the car had a suspension and brake overhaul by Dave Edmonds Mini Specialist with such works as new brake callipers, new tie rods, new subframe brackets as well as brand new cone springs and a replacement of the inner CV joint.
The car comes with a history file spanning back to 2008 including multiple MOT certificates, parts invoices, work invoices from specialists and independent garages.
The draw is scheduled for 4.00 pm on Sunday the 1st of May and we are welcoming local Mini group, East Coast Mini Club along for an extra special live draw.
