Here is the process of scraping, wire brushing and sanding the underside of our 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Volante so it can be painted. The masking up is also shown. Ben was careful to cover all parts that needed to stay clean.
The battery lines and brake lines were removed and taped up. Before Ben wrapped up the engine and dash, he was sure to give them a clean and a blast off. He had to correct the misshapen inner wings where the mesh vents sit and put new riv nuts in where necessary.
Further work included making new parts. A new boot catch was made from scratch and polished, while other components were sandblasted.
New clamps were also made and painted for the boot lift mechanism.
