The Prize Competition Council (PCC) has officially launched as the UK’s trade association for the prize competition sector, with first Board of Directors announced this morning. The new iniative brings together operators from across the industry to promote high standards, responsible self-regulation, and long-term sector development.
The PCC has been created following months of collaboration between operators of all sizes to establish a governance framework, a shared Voluntary Code of Conduct, and a unified voice for the industry. Their mission is to uphold integrity and transparency, strengthen player protections, and support operators in delivering safe, fair and enjoyable prize competitions for millions of participants each year.
As part of this formal establishment, the PCC has now elected its first Board of Directors, marking the organisation’s transition from formation to operation, and to represent its more than 50 members, and growing, over the next two years.
The PCC will act as the sector’s representative body, engaging with Government, regulators and stakeholders on policy matters, compliance expectations and emerging challenges. Its core priorities include:
· Championing the Voluntary Code of Conduct for Prize Draw Operators.
· Supporting operators in raising standards and improving player protections.
· Providing a collective voice for the sector in discussions with DCMS, regulators and industry partners.
· Promoting responsible growth and long-term sustainability across the prize competition ecosystem.
The PCC also aims to ensure smaller operators have equal access to guidance, representation and best-practice support, strengthening the sector as a whole.
First Board of Directors Elected
The newly elected Board will represent more than 50 PCC members, including Bridge Classic Cars over a two-year term. It comprises:
· George McGregor, Independent Chair
· Chris Jennings, Winvia Entertainment PLC (BOTB, Click)
· Tam Watson, Jumbo Interactive UK
· Declan Murray, Pristine Competitions
· Punit Shah, Seven Days Performance
· Pete Toye, The GiveAway Guys
· Oliver Donnelly, McKinney Competitions
· Ian Buckley, Paragon Competitions
· Daniel Swann, Two Fat Ladies Competitions
The Board reflects the diversity of the sector, with representation from operators of all sizes and business models.
Founding member and outgoing Director of PCC, and Chair of Winvia Entertainment PLC Jo Bucci said:
“This is a strong Board to address the challenges the sector faces in the years ahead. Representing a diverse group of operators and opinions, it will be up to this Board to steer the newly created body through areas like compliance with the new Voluntary Code of Conduct for Prize Draw Operators and ensuring customers have an enjoyable, safe experience. I want to take this opportunity to thank DCMS for its constructive engagement and support throughout the establishment of the PCC.”
Independent Chair of PCC George McGregor commented:
“The prize competition sector has grown rapidly in recent years. The establishment of the PCC reflects its growing maturity and the recognition that every successful industry benefits from strong representation and clear standards. Our focus now is on building an organisation that members value and that provides constructive leadership for the sector.”
Newly elected Board member Daniel Swann added:
“As a smaller operator, I know how important it will be in this fledgling industry to ensure everyone adopts and abides by the Code and feels the PCC has their interests at heart. I am pleased to be elected by my peers and encourage fellow operators to join the PCC and support the valuable work this Board will do.”

With the Board now in place, the PCC will focus on:
· Supporting members in implementing the Voluntary Code of Conduct
· Developing sector-wide guidance and training
· Representing operators in policy discussions
· Continuing to raise standards and strengthen protections for participants.

Background
Established in June 2026, the Prize Competition Council is the UK’s trade association for the prize competition industry. Its mission is to uphold the highest standards of integrity and transparency, enhance player protections, and work closely with operators, regulators and stakeholders to ensure prize competitions remain safe, fair and engaging.
By advocating for the implementation of the Voluntary Code of Conduct, the PCC plays a pivotal role in guiding operators towards ethical and responsible practices. This Code sets out crucial measures focusing on player protections, transparency, and accountability, promoting a safe environment for the millions who participate in these draws annually.
