John carried out final checks on our 1973 MG B Roadster, which has been recommissioned and rejuvenated by the Bridge Classic Cars restoration team, and found one of the headlights was not working. After checking the wiring, he confirmed the sealed unit had failed, so the decision was made to convert to halogen H4 headlights, which have been ordered and were fitted to the car and tested.
He also investigated a fault with the tachometer, removing the gauge and testing the wiring. A poor earth connection to the meter was identified, so he made and fitted a new earth lead to restore proper function. In addition, he corrected an issue with the heater controls, where the cables had been connected to the wrong controls. These were switched and adjusted so the system now operates correctly.
