Originally sold as a Mayfair in Silver with an automatic Gearbox in Lincoln, this car has benefitted from an extensive restoration and has been tastefully modified over the last 11 years, when it returned to the road in 2015 having spent around 15-20 years in storage prior.

After nearly 10 years of ownership, it’s time to pass on my pride and joy. This Mini has been meticulously cared for throughout my ownership, always stored in an insulated, temperature and humidity-controlled garage. It has genuinely wanted for nothing.

In 2022, the front end was fully rebuilt using all-new Heritage panels, bringing it back to a superb standard.

The engine has also been professionally rebuilt and upgraded to a lively fast road 998, bored to 1017cc, a fantastic balance of classic character and usable performance.

In the interest of being completely honest, the black roof could do with a repaint in places. It has never really bothered me, as for a 43-year-old car it still presents incredibly well overall. Also, true to its British Leyland heritage, it leaves the occasional small oil drip once warm; nothing excessive, just part of the character that comes with a classic Mini.
This is a properly sorted Mini with a great look, strong mechanicals, and thoughtful upgrades throughout. It drives exactly as it should — tight, responsive, and full of character.
