This is my 1976 MGB GT (registration ORB 790P), finished in red with a 1800cc engine. First registered on 11th February 1976 and delivered by Lathams Ltd in Chester, the car has been converted from rubber bumper to chrome (before my ownership) and has been used most days over the last 12 months.
In May 2025, the car underwent a significant round of servicing and electrical work totalling just over £5,000. This included:
The invoice for this will come with the car.
The car now runs and drives well, with many of the typical electrical issues of classic MGs resolved.
There are some cracks in the paint, some dents in its chrome, and its interior would benefit from some attention, although it is in good condition for its age.
Mileage showing: 50,000 (from what I can tell from its history, this is likely correct)
I’ve covered over 1000 miles in the car so far this year so it has been regularly used.
Located near Ipswich, Suffolk.
V5C in my name and ready to transfer.
Only selling due to needing a bigger family car so the sale of this will help fund that.
Overdrive is currently not working and hasn’t been since the work in May was completed. I haven’t investigated it but it did work previously so I imagine it’s a quick fix.
£6000
Open to sensible offers – this is a genuinely cared-for car with lots of recent work completed
