Jonn hoovered out the interior of our 1984 Morgan 4/4 before refitting the driver’s seat. To ensure the seat was securely installed and to distribute the load more evenly, repair washers were fitted beneath the floor. He then removed the gear lever to investigate further issues, during which he found remnants of a broken bush.

Upon inspection, the selector shaft was discovered to be bent. Jonn carefully straightened the shaft and applied grease to aid smooth operation. One end of the replacement bush required modification to achieve a proper fit, which he carried out before refitting the gear lever and securing it in position. A test drive was then conducted to confirm that all gears were engaging correctly. With everything operating as it should, the tunnel cover and gear knob were refitted to complete the work.
