Jonn continued work on our 1959 Austin Healey 3000 with the arrival of the throttle bar bushes. He used trimmed P-clips to secure the new bushes within the existing brackets and determined the most effective method for mounting before proceeding with fitting them back onto the car. The rod position on the end of the shaft was adjusted, and the nearside bracket was bolted up without issue. However, the offside bracket did not align with the existing holes. To resolve this, Jonn removed the bracket, drilled through both sides, and installed a small nut and bolt to draw the bracket sides together. He then refitted it to the shaft and bolted it back onto the car, completing the task by carrying out the necessary adjustments as specified in the instructions.
