Jonn carefully applied heat to the steering wheel of our Morgan 4/4 in order to remove it. Once removed, he turned the wheel to the left and refitted it to correct the alignment. An initial test was carried out around the yard, followed by a run up the road, both confirming that the steering wheel position was now satisfactory. The wheel was then secured in place and the centre refitted.

He proceeded with tuning the engine, noting that it only required half choke to start from cold, indicating the mixture was too rich. The mixture was weakened accordingly, and the idle speed was adjusted to suit. Following these changes, the engine appeared to be running as expected.

Jonn also fitted new wiper blades and confirmed their function through testing. He then removed the driver’s seat, taking out the wooden spacer blocks used for the seat runners. All associated bolts were cleaned, and the seat was handed over to Lydia for repair.
