Jonn secured all track rod ends on our 1959 Austin Healey 3000 and tightened the ball joint before fitting a new split pin. With the steering components addressed, he lowered the car to the floor and confirmed that the tracking remained correctly set, with plans to check it again following a road test.

He then refitted the air ducting within the offside inner wing and added 15 litres of E5 petrol to the tank. The fuel gauge registered between a quarter and half full. With the ignition switched on, Jonn primed the system and carried out a check for leaks.

He pulled out the choke and turned the engine over, which started immediately without hesitation. After tidying the work area, he noted that progress is paused pending the arrival of parts.
