Gordon and myself recently attended the Clarke and Simpson – Vintage and Classic Tractors, Cars, Implements and Spares as we had our eye on one of the lots up for grabs. We weren’t alone, it felt like we in a room full of people after the same thing.
We successfully managed to be the highest bidder and secured the car for our collection. Here it is, the 1970 Aston Martin DBS 6 Vantage.

The Aston Martin DBS marked a transitional era for Aston Martin. Produced between 1967 and 1972, it was originally intended to replace the DB6 but actually ended up being sold alongside it for many years.
The ‘Vantage’ is a high-performance variant of the DBS, fitted with an up rated version of the classic straight-six engine from the earlier DB series.
It represents the final evolutionary step of Aston Martin’s inline-6 era before the company transitioned fully to the V8 power you’d find in the DBS V8.
It is believed that on 48 of the DBS 6 Vantage models and we believe we may have one of those.
