Making Car Badges in the Past

Most original tools from car factories don’t survive when production comes to an end. Lots of them get melted down for scrap or thrown away when they’re no longer needed. 

Sometimes though, old tools do survive, like this…


This block of metal was most likely used to make badges for cars produced by an old car company called Jensen Motors.

The fact that these badge-making tools are still around means we can learn about how British car parts were actually made in the past. 

They might even be used to make car badges again, just like they did 50 years ago!
