Lydia has now completed the interior work on my Land Rover Defender 90, just in time for our upcoming shows. I wanted to carpet out the rear area and under the front seats to give the interior a more stylish and comfortable look. I’m sure it’ll also help with sound deadening. With the rear windows and the walls now paneled the interior looks just as good as the exterior.
Sometime in the future I may look to kit out the rear drawer. As this is very rarely used I may look to make something quirky out of this space. Like what Vinnie Jones did with Squire Editions by adding hunitng equipment to the rear of his Defender I quite like the idea of a rear moulded compartment to display some Whisky bottles or something similar.
Our Defender will be on display at this year’s Helmingham Hall Festival of Classic and Sports Cars on the main stand and if you’re looking to tidy the interior of your vehicle do get in touch.
