Meet Rilee & Friends
Rilee
Having been stripped to parts during World War II, Rilee has been beautifully restored, over a number of years, using almost all of it’s original parts. The Magicians (aka The Technicians) have combined tradition skills and craftmanship with the latest technologies to preserve Rilee for us all to learn from and enjoy for many years to come.
Rilee is inquisitive and eager to learn about the new world they have woken up into. Everything seems much different to how they remembered.
Rilee remembers when the car was first made and how exciting it was to be a motorcar. With very few cars on the road in the early 1900’s, Rilee was particularly special and even more so now, which they will come to learn as the stories progresses. Rilee is nervous and this can come across as sad, thinking that they are very old but the real fact is; they have awoken into a world much different, much busier and just need time to adjust.
As with all of us, the unknown and unfamiliar creates a sense of anxiety.
Rilee is introduced to Luxy and Eco, they all share similar characteristics. They too are classic cars but from a different era. They have settled in to today’s world by benefiting from modern upgrades and the use of modern technologies. The friendship between them helps Rilee to overcome these moments of anxiety as they start to understand the meaning of friendship, support and a sustainable future.
Luxy
Who says classic cars can’t keep up with modern traffic? Luxy may look classic from the outside but she tells a very different story on the inside…that’s if you can catch her to see! Luxy has been built to run on the latest electric technology meaning she has all the sleek and stylish looks of a 60’s car but is more than capable of keeping up with today’s world.
Luxy is full of life, playful and finds the world which has evolved around her fascinating.
She loves history and learning.
She has strong empathy and tends to worry and care for the other cars. She especially feels that Rilee is hers to protect and watches out for them.
Her best friend is Eco, they have a strong bond but also can at times clash a little, due to how different they are and their aspirations.
Like all good friends, this is always very quickly resolved and she enjoys nothing better than racing around the track with Eco, nipping through tight spaces and keeping up with the modern day world.
Eco
Although cars have come a long way since the 1900’s, the fundamentals have remained the same throughout. A car relies on fuel to power it and the purists still love and admire the combustion engine and how it works.
Eco is quiet possibly one of the most important cars of the future! He runs on sustainable fuel. Eco represents one of the most important environmental innovations of the modern, automotive-world.
Eco is fun and exciting to be around. He sometimes doesn’t feel good enough and is always wanting to be faster or shinier which is why he spends a lot of time with Luxy, his best friend as she knows him so well.
Although Eco is built for the road, he looks up to the experienced race cars as he aspires to be one.
Eco needs to realise how, with practice, he can achieve his goals! With his best friend Luxy, Eco feels excited about Rilee waking up as he feels like a big brother. He wants nothing more than to help Rilee enjoy their time in this new world and feels the need to teach and protect.
