We’ve set our sights on one of the most ambitious, yet heartwarming projects we’ve ever attempted, but we need your help!

Bridge Classic Cars Kids was launched at the end of 2023. Our aim is to help inspire and educate children on the importance of our history and how it can fit into a sustainable future.

From January to April 2026, we plan to take our Theatre in Education programme into schools all around Suffolk. But we want to offer this amazing workshop to schools, free of charge.

The Story of Rilee blends live performance, interactive activities and hands-on learning for children to explore two really important themes: our past, and our sustainable future.

  • Bridge Classic Cars has worked with professional theatre director Sally Broatch to create an inspiring and educational story, perfect in print form but now brought to life on stage.
  • Children are introduced to The Story of Rilee, the beautifully restored 1905 car, an inspirational story of how our classic craftsmanship and modern technology can work together.
  • Our multi-sensory trained performers (mechanics), Molly and Max, will work with the children and teachers to help learn and explore in a fun and interactive workshop session.
  • Through the live performance and workshop, pupils discover how the choices of the past shape our present, and how the choices they make today will shape tomorrow.
  • The workshop includes a 45-minute production (works for the whole school, class groups or key stages to enjoy) plus a 15-20 minute follow-up interactive workshop for around 15-30 children.

The reality is that many schools want to enrich their curriculum with unique, creative and educational experiences, but budgets don’t often make this easy.

Schools have to turn to the parents and PTA’s in order to help fund activities like this.

We’re looking to raise £20,000 by partnering with 20 local businesses, each contributing £1,000 + VAT.

Our aim is to run workshops throughout January to April and our goal is to accommodate approximately 50 primary schools and children’s groups.

Your donation will allow us to deliver the programme into schools completely free of charge, covering the performance, the workshop delivery, travel across Suffolk, and educational take-home materials.
