On Wednesday 5 March 2026, Bridge Classic Cars were guests of Josh Yasar, Finance & Commercial Director of Pound Gates at the Risky Business Breakfast with Katie Piper OBE.

Held at the prestigious Milsoms Kesgrave Hall, to a packed room of over 260 business figures from around East Anglia, Katie shared the remarkable story of the devastating events that have lead to her being here today to speak to us all and share the important messages and support.

We all know the story of what happened in 2008. The unconrollable actions from others that changed her life forever but that was just a small, somewhat insignificant part of her inspirational talk. Katie spoke of her recovery and the challenges she faced on a daily basis.

Katie has become one of the UK’s most recognised voices on burns recovery and has lead her to accomplise many achievements in her life, most importantly founding the Katie Piper Foundation and using her platform to support others facing similar challenges.

Learn more about the Katie Piper Foundation

Founded in 2009 by burns survivor Katie Piper OBE, the Katie Piper Foundation exists so that no one living with burns or traumatic scarring ever feels alone.

They are the only UK charity offering a complete rehabilitation pathway beyond NHS acute care. Their mission is simple but vital: to ensure every survivor has access to lifelong support, long after the emergency has passed.

They provide clinically led, trauma-informed rehabilitation that supports the whole person, physically, emotionally and psychologically. Whether an injury is recent or decades old, they walk alongside survivors, their families, and loved ones for as long as needed.
