Jensen Inspection

Jonn carried out a brief inspection of our 1960 Jensen 541s, followed by greasing all applicable points. An oil and filter change was then undertaken. During this process, a new seal was trial-fitted to the filter; however, it was found to be oversized and therefore unsuitable. The original seal was reused as a result. The filter housing was cleaned thoroughly before fitting a new filter, which was then secured in place.

While attempting to refit the sump bung, it was noted that it would not tighten correctly. Upon removal, Jonn discovered that the thread was unserviceable.
