Ipswich Town vs Stoke City – 10th December 2025

Another great win for Ipswich Town earlier in the week as they claimed back-to-back home victories on Wednesday evening, with Jaden Philogene’s early strike proving enough to seal all three points against Stoke City.

Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna told BBC Radio Suffolk:

“It was a brilliant goal and one to really enjoy. It’s similar to a few we’ve scored down here over the years in terms of build-up on the right side, then switch to the left side and then of course brilliant quality from Jaden in a combination with [Nunez] and a brilliant strike. It was a great way to start the game.

“You have to give Stoke credit. In the first half they played really well, they went 1-0 down and they were throwing the kitchen sink at it in terms of pressing us a lot.

“There was a lot of space for us and we just couldn’t get the final pass. We missed a big chance to go 2-0 up that might have knocked the stuffing out of them, but we didn’t and they kept pushing and pushing.

“It was good to get to half-time. We knew we had to make some more passes and not go for the goal so quickly, even though there was space there. The second-half performance was really good and was only missing the last bit of execution to open up the margin on the scoreline.”

The breakthrough came inside just two minutes, as Philogene exchanged a quick one-two with Ivan Azon on the edge of the box before finishing a superb effort into the top right corner of Viktor Johansson’s net.

It all happened so quick that I didn’t even get to see the goal as I was too busy serving up the delicious food that had just been delivered.

Never-the-less, it was a great atmosphere inside Box 19 as our guests and families enjoyed the game with us.

So who did we welcome into Box 19 this week:

Scott Russell

Scott Russell is a successful angel investor, business coach, mentor, and non-executive director (NED). Over the course of an exceptional career, he has founded, scaled, and successfully exited five high-performing companies, achieving a combined valuation of more than £50 million.

Today, Scott focuses on sharing his expertise with founders as well as experienced business leaders, helping them replicate and sustain meaningful success.

Named a Sunday Times Tech Track Top 10 finalist for three consecutive years (2007, 2008, and 2009) and in 2011, he was recognised as the EADT East Anglian Business Person of the Year. His leadership abilities were further demonstrated in 2013 and 2014 when he guided Paddy & Scott’s Cafes Ltd into Accelerate 250, an exclusive cohort of the UK’s most dynamic growth companies and endorsed by the Prime Minister’s Enterprise Advisor Lord Young and former Tesco CEO Sir Terry Leahy.

In 2017, Scott was selected by Grant Thornton as one of the UK’s top 100 influential business leaders, earning a place among the prestigious “Faces of a Vibrant Economy.” A year later, the University of Suffolk awarded him an Honorary Fellowship in recognition of his contributions to business and entrepreneurship.

His achievements continued in 2022 when he led his team to win both Best Medium Sized Business and Overall Suffolk Business of the Year at the EADT 22 Business Awards.

Bridge Classic Cars were up against Paddy & Scott’s as finalists in the Best Medium Sized Business that very year so out of all of his achievements mentioned above, this one was not so deserving!!! 🙂

That same year, Forbes Magazine recognised Paddy & Scott’s as one of the world’s top six ethical coffee brands.

I first met Scott in a room of 12 business leaders as we were taught how to cook by head chef of ICE Restaurant in Bury St Edmunds in what I would best describe as a brilliantly unique networking event. We were sat side by side for the event so naturally got talking. I had heard a lot about Scott prior to this meeting but this event was the first chance for me to meet the man everyone was talking about. Scott has now become a good friend to both myself and Gordon and long may this friendship continue.

William Harrison

Hosting guests in Box 19 is not all about photo opportunities and business networking, it’s about getting to know the individuals who we share our passion of classic cars with. One of the key, stand out things for me is getting to know more about the guests we spend our afternoons with. This week we were joined by Will and his son Daniel. We’ve known Will for 3 years now through our work at Bridge Classic Cars but until a drink in Burley’s Bar this week we knew very little of Will’s background.

William was a key figure at Lincoln Cathedral. Joining Lincoln Cathedral as a Choral Scholar in 1996 he became Chapter Clerk and Chief Operating Officer (COO), a significant administrative role. He was a dedicated singer and server in the choir, influencing his family to later join. He left his position as Chapter Clerk and COO at the end of 2022, moving on to focus on a new career for himself doing what we now know him for.

Tim Cole

Tim has been one of my closest friends for over 20 years now. Our journey together began at SGR FM, Tim worked as a presenter and I made him sound great as his producer. After his radio years, Tim naturally ventured into the world of marketing which made perfect sense as our careers, up to then, were all about ‘understanding the audience’. Over the last 15 years, he has built a reputation as a strategic thinker, which has lead him into his current role of Head of Marketing for a global renewable energy brand. In a sector driven by innovation, Tim is helping to shape narratives that focus on sustainability, progress, and environmental responsibility. And as often make reference to, those values are shared with us here at Bridge Classic Cars and Bridge Classic Cars Kids

But Tim’s professional success is only one side of his story. His true passion, one that has been with him through every stage of his life is comedy. Tim founded the Gifted Melon Comedy Club.

Held on the third Thursday of every month at the Thomas Wolsey pub in Ipswich, Tim wanted to create a place where established comics, rising talent and enthusiastic audiences could come together and share in the joy of live comedy. Beyond Ipswich, he now hosts regular comedy nights across Suffolk, bringing professional comedians to venues that might never otherwise have the chance to experience such talent.

Under the stage name Tim Saint, he spends countless evenings travelling up and down the country performing stand up at clubs, pubs, festivals, and comedy nights. His material blends personal observation, mainly about his own father as well as being a father himself.

Box 19 is place to spend valuable time with loved ones, colleagues and friends. It’s about telling stories and making memories. Tim and I have made many memories together over the years and I was so pleased to have him in the box with us this week.
