After replacing the faulty part on the air conditioning system and re-gassing the system, the compressor was not kicking in.

The power was checked and the relay was found not to be activating.

We then by-passed the relay which resulted in the air conditioning kicking in to life.

On investigation, the terminals in the air conditioning relay were found to be broken and corroded, as was the starter relay and horn relays. The terminals were replaced and rechecked. There was no power coming from the control panel and there were signs of previous wiring modifications.

The control unit was found to be faulty and we are unable to source a new control unit.

A bypass switch was fitted so the customer can now operate the system and the previous modifications have been removed.

All that’s left to do now is complete the MOT, give the car one final clean before the customer can collect and enjoy once again!
