We received a very exciting package at Bridge Classic Cars last week. Here is one of the very first Coachbuilt x Three Societies 20 year-old. The latest ltd edition release from the Coachbuilt brand.
It was so fresh that when Max and Andrew from Coachbuilt arrived a few days later, they both looked at it with delight having not seen the real product themselves.
This bold release from our good friends at Coachbuilt marks the first time a Scotch whisky has been finished in an ex-Korean whisky cask.
The cask was previously used by Three Societies Distillery, a craft producer founded in 2020. Nestled in the Namyangju mountains, north-east of Seoul they are recognised as South Korea’s first single malt distillery.
The 20 Year-Old blend carries the sweetness of a bourbon cask, layered with a powerful, spice-driven and full-bodied profile. It bridges two whisky traditions, the maturity of classic Scotch with the distinctive character of Korean whisky. Resulting in a rich, complex and truly one-of-a-kind expression.
Only 130 bottles have been produced, each priced at approximately £395, making it one of Coachbuilt’s rarest and most experimental releases to date.
