John found that the bonnet flap on our 1956 Jensen 541 had been incorrectly installed, causing it to operate in the wrong direction. To correct this, he fabricated new brackets and re-routed the cable, ensuring the flap now functions as intended.
John completed the installation of the bonnet flap cable on our 1956 Jensen 541 before carrying out a pressure test on the cooling system to check for any leaks. During this process, he identified that a coolant hose was rubbing against the engine mount and modified its positioning to prevent future wear. He then topped up the coolant and performed a further inspection to confirm that the system remained free from leaks.
