DB6 Boot Lid Repairs

Further work has been done on the boot lid of our 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Volante. This project has really moved on now with the new number plate recess welded in and flushed, the catch section cut out, replaced and welded in with a new captive insert, finally back to factory standard!

The vent panels in the wheel arches are rotten, so Pete is fabricating new units from alloy to match the original steel, preventing future rust from developing. This will be painted when finished.

Pete has also reshaped the foglight recess to match the fog light, as there was a huge gap along the top; this looks much better.
