Congratulations to Ipswich Town, championing EFL Family Excellence Scheme.

Congratulations to Ipswich Town Football Club on being awarded Gold status in the 2025/26 EFL Family Excellence Scheme.
The award recognises the club’s continued commitment to providing a welcoming and enjoyable experience for families visiting Portman Road. Having also achieved Gold status following the 2023/24 campaign, Town retained the award after returning to the EFL, recording the fifth-highest average score in the Championship.
Throughout the season, clubs receive two visits from family assessors, who evaluate every stage of the matchday journey. From the ticket purchasing process to supporters’ experiences as they leave the stadium. Assessors consider a wide range of factors, including matchday activations, stadium accessibility and facilities, and how effectively clubs engage with and communicate to families.
Town’s assessment visits highlighted “an abundance of outstanding experiences for families attending their first games at Portman Road”, with the club achieving an impressive average score of 9.0.
The FanZone also received special praise for providing “an excellent space for fans to gather before the match.”
EFL Chief Executive Officer Trevor Birch said:
“We are incredibly proud to see clubs excelling in the EFL’s Family Excellence Scheme this season. Their success reflects their dedication to creating welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable matchday experiences for families across the country.
“The scheme is designed to support clubs as they continue to grow their family offering, helping to inspire lifelong connections with supporters and engage the next generation of fans.”
