1987 Maserati BiTurbo
Jon worked on our 1987 Maserati BiTurbo this week. He has aligned and refitting the engine mounting bolts before securing them in place. He re-routed the coolant hoses into the correct positions and noted that the lower radiator hose had been making contact with the pulley due to an extremely tight clearance.
it is advised that certain components would need repositioning to accommodate the correct fitment of the bottom radiator hose. He then refitted and secured the engine mount bolts once more, routed the piping to the turbochargers, and checked the available paperwork to determine the correct configuration for the coolant pipe connections.

1963 Jaguar MkII
Jon has also been working on the Jaguar MkII. He has removed the wheels to allow the new tubes and tyres to be fitted. He identified and marked the best existing tyre in order to retain it and have it fitted to the spare wheel.

1995 TVR Chimaera
Mauro has prepared our 1995 TVR Chimaera for paint, ensuring all necessary surfaces were ready. He has primed the wing mirrors in advance of painting. Once all this was prepared, it was time to paint the car.

1967 Jaguar E-Type – Series 1 2+2
Ben inspected the rear brakes on our 1967 Jaguar E-Type Series 1. He has attempted to free them, but struggled due to their condition. As access to the rear brakes require the removal of the rear suspension, he noted that the suspension would have to be dropped in order to proceed with removing and refurbishing the brake components.

1988 Volkswagen Golf GTI
Chris has applied the topcoat to our 1988 Volkswagen Golf GTI, before cutting and polishing the surface to achieve the desired finish. He then reassembled the vehicle.

1977 Leyland Mini 1000
Jon began work on our 1977 Leyland Mini 1000 by checking all fluid levels and carrying out a road test, confirming that everything was functioning correctly.
He cleaned up the hazard switch and got the indicators working again. As part of his appraisal, Jon made a new fuel cap seal from cork and fitted it, then inflated the spare tyre.
He fabricated a new battery hold-down bracket and also produced a new earth lead for the battery, which he soldered and fitted.
Continuing with the battery fitment, Jon cut a thread onto a rod, selected and shaped a length of steel, rubbed it down, painted it black, and set it aside to dry.

1973 MG B Roadster
Jon found that the existing fuel pipe obstructed the installation. He removed the pipe and cut back the metal section near the nearside bulkhead.
A length of braided pipe was then cut and fitted in conjunction with an inline fuel filter. After securing this setup, Jon reused the previously cut section of metal pipe to connect the hose to the carburettors.
To prevent wear, he applied foam to the bulkhead where the filter makes contact.
