We have been working on so many competition cars this week so rather than talking about each one individually I thought I’d give you a snapshot on each and every one. We have cars in the paint shop that are almost at the start of our journey with us through to cars on their final “to do’s” before they leave us for their new homes.

1968 MG C Roadster

Adam has been busy preparing our 1968 MG C Roadster for paint, colour fading to match the original paint.

We’ve then gone on to polished the rear bumper before reassembling.

The we head back into to the main workshops for the final pre delivery inspection of our 1969 Daimler 250 V8. Due to the fact that the car has not been used in some time we put some fresh fuel in to carry out a good road test and thoroughly clear it out.

We noticed a slight knock on the exhaust on hard acceleration so we looked into that before carrying out a full pre delivery inspection.

The trim was loose in the nearside of the boot.

Jack up to adjust the steering box and found the wheel weights catching so we moved before rechecking. All ok now. We then knocked the wheel up tight, repaired the washer pipe to bottle, cleaned and re-stuck the driver’s B pillar seal.

Finally we filled the car with our sustainable P1 option ready for the customer to accept deliver.

2007 Caterham Seven 120 Roadsport

Sticking with the PDI’s (Pre Delivery Inspections), Jon found that the rear fog light on the Caterham was broken and a new one was required. Torque wheel nuts and inflate all tyres to correct pressures. Finish off the PDI and fill with P1 fuel.

1973 MG B Roadster

Then we return to Adam and the team in the paint shop for our next competition MG. Our 1973 MG B Roadster is now in epoxy ready for filler where needed. Door refitted to check gaps and alignment repair to bonnet. Primed and ready for rubbing down.
