Jonn carried out checks on the lights and fluid levels of our 1969 Morgan 4/4. He knocked up the wheels, inflated the tyres and verified the fuel level before taking the car out for a road test. During the drive, he noted that the temperature gauge was not functioning; investigation revealed the wire had detached from the sender unit. He reconnected it and confirmed correct operation on retest.

The car drove well overall, though Jonn observed a slight knock when taking up drive, which may be related to the differential. He also noted the steering felt slightly tight and failed to self-centre when turning left.
