A busy week of deliveries

Tony’s had a busy week on the road this week. As I sit here writing this he is currently heading up the A65 on his way to the north of Scotland for the weekend to collect 5 (potentially 6) classic motorcycles.
But earlier in the week he delivered the incredible 1992 Rover Mini Italian Job to one very happy Brian. Brian has been waiting patiently for the winning car as we discovered a slight vibration during the Pre Delivery Inspection and we did not want him to have the car until we had resolved the issue.
James accepted delivery of his 1982 Bedford HA van. Although James resides some distance from us here in Suffolk he has a vehicle storage facility close to our door so the journey we were expecting to have ended up a few hundred miles shorter. James is an avid collector of classic cars and we are lead to believe this win is the 16th classic he has in his collection. Enjoy the car James.
But the Alfa Romeo, recently won by double winner Lee is staying with us in our Hangar for a little while as Lee prepares his home for the new arrival. Lee would rather not see his Alfa sitting on the driveway whilst his building works continues so has instantly opted to have the vehicle dry stored with us and we expect to rearrange the delivery for early May.
Our Morgan Delivered

Our 1972 Morgan 4/4 was safely delivered to its lucky new owner, James, who won it through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.
After being strapped into our covered trailer, it made the three-and-a-half-hour trip to Warwick. Our driver Tony enjoyed the scenery en route and was very pleased to see how excited James was to receive his new car.
Vehicle Transport

Tony collected an MGB from Colchester and delivered it to our secure storage facility before also collecting our classic Mini and Ducati motorbike to put into storage too.
Getting Things Started

An old friend returned to the Bridge Classic Cars workshop this week in the form of our 1933 Austin Seven.
It came back to us so we could investigate a non-starting issue. After Tony collected the vehicle and brought it to the workshop, technician Neil cleaned the plugs as well as adjusted and cleaned the points.
Tony then loaded the car back into the trailer and returned it to its owner.
Safely Transported Home

Tony was responsible for its care and, as you can see from the photos below, this beautiful classic is now back with its fellow garage mates.
Daimler Repairs
February 8, 2024
Technician James has been working on our 1964 Daimler 250 V8. The steering pump has been overhauled and has been refitted to the car along with the drive belt and reservoir.
The system has been topped up, the underside areas cleaned and the car road tested. Then we checked under the car again, the steering pump and components are clean and dry now. The fluid levels were rechecked and found to be ok.
James checked the brakes while the car was on the ramp, and all was ok, although the car still had a leak from the older style “rope type” rear main. This would need the engine removing and upgrading to a modern equivalent involving modification to the engine block. Also, a small amount of coolant staining was found on the engines, but no obvious leaks when pressure testing.
Once James was finished with our Daimler, Tony loaded it into the trailer and transported it to our storage facility.
A Familiar Face Returns

However, rather than returning to the workshop, it has actually gone into our brand-new secure storage facility.
Tony collected the car and it is now safe and secure surrounded by other stunning classics.

Our Lotus Europa – Delivered

On Its Way To Scotland

When Ross Coats was randomly selected as the lucky winner of our 1979 Ford Escort MK2 through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions, preparations were made to deliver the car to him at his home in Scotland.
We have made many trips to Scotland transporting cars to and from the Bridge Classic Cars workshop so we were excited for another.
The vehicle was prepared for travel before going into the trailer and beginning its long journey north.
Now that it has arrived with Ross, we hope that it enjoys a long life on the Scottish roads.
A Ferrari For Competition

At the NEC Classic Motor Show 2023, Craig purchased the latest addition to the Bridge Classic Cars workshop, our 1984 Ferrari 308 GTSi Quattrovalvole.
Bought through Iconic Auctioneers, this incredible car will go on to be won through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions very soon.
After buying the car, we collected it from the NEC and it is now safely in The Ateiler at Bridge Classic Cars.
Once it has been checked over by the workshop team, it will be ready to be won by a very lucky individual in the next few weeks.

American Arrivals

They may be a long way from home but two iconic American classics, a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a 1963 Chevrolet C10 SWB Stepside Pickup arrived at the Bridge Classic Cars workshop yesterday.
Our 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, eye-catching in striking blue, has the unmistakable muscular curves of a true American legend. Its 7-litre V8 engine delivers a powerful driving experience, while the look and feel pay tribute to the pinnacle of mid-60s muscle car engineering.
Making the journey with our Stingray was our 1963 Chevrolet C10 SWB Stepside Pickup, a tough yet beautiful workhorse. Its design is a throwback to a time when trucks were built to last. This isn’t just a classic pick-up, it’s an instantly recognisable piece of American automotive history.
These two classics, arriving at the workshop, marks the beginning of a new adventure as they prepare to eventually go up for sale on behalf of their owner. We are sure that they will generate a lot of interest and we are very excited to see what the future has in store for these American classics.
Going Into Storage

A stunning 1973 Ferrari Dino has gone into our secure storage facility.
Simply having a car like a Ferrari Dino go into storage with us is exciting enough but, this one has been featured in Classic Cars Magazine in the 1990s too which makes it extra special.
This eye-catching classic will remain in storage with us until there is an opportunity to move it into the Bridge Classic Cars workshop so our skilled team of technicians can get to work on some areas in need of repair.
Saying Dubai Bye

Our 1976 Aston Martin AMV8 recently sold at auction and is now on its way to its new owner.
The journey of our AMV8 started in America before heading over to us here at Bridge Classic Cars. Following its sale, its travels are not quite over just yet, as it is now being shipped over to join its owner’s collection in Dubai.
Seeing our 1976 Aston Martin AMV8 leave the workshop after being with us for quite some time was both exciting and slightly sad at the same time. We are very excited that the car will now be enjoyed as it should but we are also slightly sad that we will no longer be able to admire it every day.
We hope the new owner enjoys our beautiful AMV8.
Looking Back On A Mini Collection

Our 1976 Morris Mini hasn’t been in the Bridge Classic Cars workshop for very long but it is already live on the Bridge Classic Cars Competitions website.
As we haven’t had much time to update the project, we thought we would take a quick look back at the collection of our eye-catching Mini, known as Alfie.
Bradley from Drivers4You collected the classic mini on our behalf and delivered it safely to the workshop. Very soon after it arrived it was taken by Molly and Freddie to film, ready to be won at our Bridge Classic Cars Movie Night.
A New Look For Our Trailer

Recently, we gave it a very short break so it could have a makeover with Bridge Classic Cars branding being applied to it.

Our SS100 Delivered To Holyhead

After being in the Bridge Classic Cars workshop for a few weeks, it is now ready to be returned to its owner and get back out on the road.
We have loved having this beautiful classic car with us and we are very pleased to see it go home and be enjoyed as it should be.
Delivering our 1972 Triumph Stag to its lucky new owner

Last week, Tom and Nick went to deliver our 1972 Triumph Stag to its new owner Dudley.
Dudley had won the car the previous week through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions and was excited to take delivery of his new pride and joy.
Upon meeting Dudley and finding out a bit more about his story, his incredible life with aircraft and cars, we also found out about his personal connection to our current charity partner, East Anglian Air Ambulance.
Dudley has been an avid supporter and advocate for the amazing work that the charity do to help people in serious situations either in the air or on the road with the incredible live saving team since he found himself in need of their help one day while visiting family.
Take a look at the moment Dudley met his 1972 Triumph Stag for the first time and more on this amazing gentleman’s story below.

First Collection Completed

Our brand new trailer was put to use almost immediately recently when it was used to collect our special competitions car – our 1973 Triumph Spitfire from its stay at the Suffolk Show.
Since then, it has continued to put itself to good use and we have no doubt that it will be a great member of the Bridge Classic Cars team for a long time to come.
A Ford Cougar Arrives

We recently welcomed a Ford Cougar to the Bridge Classic Cars workshop.
These cars aren’t seen too frequently so we are very excited to have it with us. For now, it will be part of our personal collection but we are excited to see what the future holds for our Cougar.
