A stunning 1973 Ferrari Dino has gone into our secure storage facility.
Simply having a car like a Ferrari Dino go into storage with us is exciting enough but, this one has been featured in Classic Cars Magazine in the 1990s too which makes it extra special.
This eye-catching classic will remain in storage with us until there is an opportunity to move it into the Bridge Classic Cars workshop so our skilled team of technicians can get to work on some areas in need of repair.
At the weekend, some of the team from Bridge Classic Cars spent time at our secure vehicle storage facility, The Hangar, located at Bentwaters Parks. While they were there, they were extremely busy moving things around to create more space for vehicle storage purposes.
While things were being moved around, the Hangar was cleaned too.
We have seen a big increase in customers contacting us wanting to securely store their vehicle/s for extended periods of time. As a result, more storage space was needed and that is exactly what has happened.
More carcoons mean more room for more classic cars to be stored!
Yesterday, we welcomed a new car into our secure storage facility, The Hangar. The 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE will be staying with us for a while before its owner is ready for its return.
It will join a wide range of cars currently being stored with Bridge Classic Cars so it will have plenty of company while it is with us.
One of our customers who has been storing their Porsche 911 with us at our secure storage facility, The Hangar has swapped cars!
After the 911 being taken out of storage, a VW Golf has taken its place inside a cartoon at Bentwaters Parks where The Hangar is located.
It’s always nice to see a very cool car leave storage and head back out onto the road but it’s even more exciting when another exciting car takes its place!
Here at Bridge Classic Cars, we see a wide range of stunning vintage and classic cars. We also get to see some extremely interesting vehicles too.
One intriguing car that we have recently taken into storage at our secure facility, The Hangar, is a Morris Minor Hot Rod. Seeing how modified the car is, you’d be forgiven if you didn’t immediately recognise it as a Morris Minor. However, after being converted into a Hot Rod, there’s no denying that it is undoubtedly an attention-grabbing vehicle.
We offer vehicle storage for whatever car you deem to be special. From rare Aston Martins to Morris Minor Hot Rods, we love welcoming vehicles with a great story into the workshop or The Hangar.
As you can see from the photos below, this Hot Rod definitely has a story to tell.
We recently welcomed a new vehicle into our secure storage facility, The Hangar.
Vehicle storage is important to get right to ensure your car is safe, secure, and kept in the best possible conditions.
When we store customers’ vehicles, we use Carcoons to create a protective environment around them.
As we welcomed a 2008 Porsche 997 911 Turbo to The Hangar, we captured a video of it going into its Carcoon where it will be securely stored until its owner is ready to take it back out on the road.
Our award-winning 1960 Jensen 541S is safe and secure at our storage facility, The Hangar.
It is being kept in a Carcoon which will keep the car in a protective environment and will keep the air conditions around the vehicle as good as they can possibly be. Inside the Carcoon, the air is continuously circulated and the quality of air is kept extremely high to ensure our 541S stays in show-winning condition.
After undergoing some work while back with us, the time has come for this beautiful classic car to sit safely and securely until its owner is ready to take it out again.
As you can see from the photos below, even in a Carcoon, our 1960 Jensen 541S looks as good as ever!
Looking after a classic car brings some additional responsibilities than looking after a modern car. Something that you may not have considered is classic car storage.
With a newer car, you’ll likely be driving it on a regular basis. However, with a classic, it may be parked up for extended periods of time – over winter for example. Leaving a classic car to sit unprotected can have some very negative consequences. Issues such as rust, corrosion, parts seizing, dead batteries, and locked brakes to name just a few are fairly common.
If you are looking for ways to properly store your classic car, there are some things to keep in mind.
If you are fortunate enough to have a brick garage at home, then this is likely to be a very good place to store your classic car.
Brick buildings are very good at maintaining a stable temperature and keeping the environment relatively moisture-free. Both of these things are important if you want to prevent damage-causing condensation from forming during the colder months of the year.
Before storing your car in your garage, you will want to make sure any gaps are sealed. Big gaps under the door etc, should be covered to stop too much cold air from being able to make its way inside. You should also think about how secure your garage is. Upgrading your locks to a more robust system might be called for if you are worried about the security of your classic car in storage.
Storing your classic car in your garage is not always the best option for you though. Unless you have a window that you can open to improve air circulation, you might struggle to maintain a suitable storage environment. You will also need to look at the temperature. In particular, how much it fluctuates to avoid any heat/cold issues caused to your car.
If you don’t have a garage to store your classic car in then you might choose to store it outside. If this is the case, you should ideally invest in a car cover that is perfectly suited to your vehicle. Finding the perfect car cover might not be possible though. If you are unable to find a cover that is the exact size of your car, then choose one that is slightly too big. You can use pegs (or similar) to secure it in place to make sure everything is suitably covered and protected.
When storing your classic car outside, it’s important to protect it from direct sunlight. It should also be protected from rain, bird mess, and pretty much any other form of moisture that could potentially damage it.
Lifting your car off the ground during outdoor storage can go a long way in protecting your tyres, wheels, and the underside of the vehicle too.
If you want to give your classic car the very best chance of being stored correctly, then using a classic car storage service will likely be your best option.
A professional car storage service can provide the best possible environment for safe and secure classic car storage.
If you’re looking for a car storage service, there are certain things that you should keep an eye out for:
At Bridge Classic Cars, we are passionate about all things classic cars. That’s why we have a safe and secure vehicle storage facility.

Here at Bridge Classic Cars, we like to give you all an incite into what goes on behind closed doors. We often show you the main workshops and restorations, as well as a sneak peak into the production process for live draws with Charlotte, but we rarely take a look at our hanger itself. Our hanger is an unsung hero with an interesting past…
Up at RAF Bentwaters, we’ve got our own hanger. Originally a military base, Bentwaters run as an active American airbase from 1942 until 1993. Now home to multiple businesses and a museum, Bentwaters is a functioning business park with a very visible history. It is home Europe’s longest air strip and feels like a step back in time with many old fighter jets and military vehicles dotted around the base.
You may have also heard of RAF Bentwaters thanks to a mysterious UFO sighting in 1980 which has made the location popular with tourists and alien enthusiasts. The sighting took place in the surrounding forest and is known as the Rendlesham Forest incident which has gone down in history as the UK’s most famous UFO sighting and is known worldwide.
With the base commanding its place in British history, what better spot to store and film classic cars. We offer storage solutions for clients who need a secure and dry location to store their beloved motors. We offer Carcoons, plug-in batteries and regular cleaning.
We also store our own cars in here as they wait to come in for restorations or have been completed and need photographing and storing before finding their new home. We host our live draws from the Hanger but we also use Bentwaters as the regular backdrop to our photoshoots and videos. You might recognise the familiar pine-clad backdrop and clear open roads.
You may also notice a certain rare Francis Barnett which we currently have up for sale. This bike was originally Craigs so we’ve had it safely tucked away at the hanger for a few months however he’s decided to part ways with it and let someone else enjoy the timeless beauty of this bike.
Our 1998 BMW M3 Evoultion has returned to our hangar having been away touring the coast for a week. We have a few items to address on the car and then it will be put back in storage until the better weather returns.
With the owner of our stunning restoration out of the country for many months a year our 1971 Jaguar E-Type Roadster is now in storage for the winter within our showroom facilities.
We have worked alongside the guys at Carcoon for many years and their products are amazing and perfect for classic car storage. We have installed the Carcoon Evo in many single garages over the years.
Carcoonย is the ultimate automobile storage system designed to protect your precious investment. With its unique, patented โactive airflowโ process and other advanced features,ย Carcoonย sets a new standard in car care.
The originalย Carcoonย was designed and produced by George Page in the mid 1990โs to help combat problematic areas encountered in automobile storage at his Classic Car restoration business in the United Kingdom. Today,ย Carcoonย is the clear market leader in car storage systems in the UK and is rapidly gaining praise and acceptance from American car collectors.
The unique ‘active airflow’ system (worldwide patent), comprises of two air treatment units which operate continuously to provide super-atmospheric, circulating airflow for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Importantly, the circulating air is taken from inside the storage unit itself, which effectively isolates the flow of air from the outside environment. With a running cost of approximately 2 pence per day, who canโt afford that kind of protection?
Having spent a few weeks touring the North Norfolk coastline our 1971 Jaguar E-Type is now back in our workshops having any snags and issues found addressed. Once complete, the car will be stored away with us for the winter in one of our brand new Carcoons within our storage facility.
Before we deliver the vehicle to our storage unit we have fully valeted and detailed the vehicle.
Whilst the owner is overseas we will maintain and service the vehicle on a regular basis and ensure the car is kept in top condition for the owner’s return.
Carcoon – The EVO model is probably the most versatile Carcoon of all. This model comprises of a base mat and a separate top cover. Simply drive the car onto the base mat, place the top cover over the car, connect the zipper and plug in the 12 Volt power supply. This model is ideal if your car is located away from the garage door, meaning that you do not have direct access to drive it straight onto the base. The beauty of the EVO Carcoon is that it can be accessed from any side. This model can also be custom made to accommodate any vehicle size, including extra tall vehicles. Even reduced height units can be custom made.
