Pre Delivery Checks

Our 1962 Hillman Minx is live on the Bridge Classic Cars Competitions website and will be won very soon.

Before it goes to the lucky winner though, classic car technician Jonn has been giving it a pre-delivery inspection to make sure it is ready to go when the time finally comes for it to go to its new home.

Jonn drained some of the coolant from our Minx and replaced it with neat anti-freeze to raise the protection level.

The nearside front door opening quarter window has also been freed up and now opens as it should.

Our 1962 Hillman Minx is now live on the Bridge Classic Cars Competitions website.

This is a beautiful classic that will no doubt bring back memories of the time when these would have been a common sight on the road. It hasn’t been with us here at Bridge Classic Cars very long but we are very excited to see it go home with its new owner when it is won next week.

Painting Our Minx

Our 1962 Hillman Minx has been in the Bridge Classic Cars paintshop with Chris.

After masking up the car, Chris completed the paint repairs and, as you can see from the photos below, the car is looking great as it gets ready to leave the paint shop.

Assessing Our Hillman Minx

Our 1962 Hillman Minx has been in the workshop being assessed by classic car technician Jonn.

One of the first things Jonn noticed was that the letter I needed to be reattached to the bonnet. This was done before Jonn continued his inspection and assessment of this beautiful classic car.

During his assessment, Jonn also fitted new points (after stripping the old ones) and also replaced the condenser. A new distributor cap and rotor arm were also fitted before our Hillman Minx was taken out on a road test.

In The Workshop

A new addition has recently made its way into the Bridge Classic Cars workshop – our 1962 Hillman Minx.

As you can see from the photos below, it is a beautiful classic car and one that will be nostalgic for many people. For now, it will have a thorough inspection and assessment by our team of technicians before a plan of action is put together for its future.
