Our TVR Grantura has had a few tweaks made including a new rev counter, fuel gage and hand brake cables.
Our 1962 TVR Grantura has come out of hibernation and into the workshop to have some TLC. Tom has made a bonnet latch to attach to the current lever. This is more of a cosmetic comfort alteration and simply makes the mechanism more use friendly.
We’ve also noticed that the speedo isn’t working correctly as the indicator tends to shake as it moves, making the speed readings inaccurate. A new earth cable has also been fitted.

Our 1962 TVR Grantura restoration is now complete and in preparation for the final photo shoot we called upon the skills of our good friend Mike at Shine Supply UK to give the car a Level 1 detail.
The final photo shoot was unfortunately postponed mid-way through due to the wonderfully unpredictable Suffolk weather.
Thank you to Butley Priory for your initial welcoming, although the shoot was short lived we hope to see you very soon to complete the day.

The window was in a severely damaged state. However, Tom has been able to polish up the rear window, ready for it to be installed into the car once more.
Next on the Grantura is making the windscreen fluid reservoir and plumbing that into the vehicle.
Progress continues on our TVR Grantura. Most of the tailor-made interior has been refitted now. Grilles and vents have also been fabricated and added to the car. It really is in the finer details that sees a restoration truly come to life.
Tom has been removing the entire brake system, servicing and cleaning them and is now in the process of reinstalling them back onto the car.
Tom working on refitting the brakes on our 1962 TVR Grantura
Tom has been making great strides in the restoration of our 1962 TVR Grantura. He’s recently serviced the brakes, fabricated new brake lines and fitted a new battery.
Great progress is being made on our 1962 TVR Grantura. Tom’s cleaned the dash up as well as custom fabricating a glovebox from aluminium. We’ve also installed the fuel filler cap and fuel pipe along with refitting chrome bumper trims.
In the most recent phase of our 1962 TVR Grantura’s restoration we’ve replaced the brake slave and master cylinder. It was then treated to a new roof lining by Donna in our trim shop.
Tamas and Dave have been busy refitting the TVR components back onto the car. The Grantura has been treated to a new radiator and lights.
In our trim shop, Donna has completely rebuilt the TVR’s door cards using the existing door cards as a template. The contrasting blue body colour against the vivid red interior will look truly stunning when complete on this fabulous TVR.
Both the brake and clutch master cylinders are currently being prepared, ready to be refit on our gorgeous blue Grantura.
Tamas has been working on the window mechanisms of our 1962 TVR Grantura this week. The frames are now in position and he is now concentrating his efforts on improving the movement of the mechanism as it seems unnecessarily tight to operate.
Using the existing door cards we have replicated the design, including the stunning pocket concept, to create brand new door cards for our 1962 TVR Grantura. Finished in Poppy Red.
With a very limited amount of existing interior to go by we have had to design and manufacture the full interior set for our 1962 TVR Grantura.
Originally, the carpets would not have been edged but we chose to improve where we could and fitted out our carpet set with new colour coded edging.
The door cards have been re-manufactured using a rough template taken from the original door cards.
Donna is currently working on designing a new pattern for our 1962 TVR Grantura door cards. She is using the existing material to help with the design.
The door cards will be finished in the same colour as the new seats that have been made.
Meanwhile, the seats are almost complete.
