This 2000 Honda S2000 is a returning modern classic. It came into us back in March this year for some cosmetic work, with patches of corrosion and paint chipping away on the wheel arches, boot, bonnet and side panels. You can read about the process in full, in previous blog posts on this car.
This time around, it came into us for preparation work and painting on the front bumper and wing. This is called a SMART repair, which stands for Small Medium Area Repair Technology. It’s simply where a small area of the car is repaired instead of replacing the whole panel. Another great job done by the paint shop guys!

The Honda will now enter the paint booth and will have its final paint colour applied.
Our Honda S2000 is a modern classic from the turn of the millennia. Following on from our last update, James has been focusing on rebuilding the wheel arch that has been lost to corrosion and rust. James has also rebuilt and painted the boot lip which is hidden beneath trim as well as welding and spot welding areas that have suffered due to rust.
Matt has been repairing the bumper in the paint shop which was showing signs of stress fractures. Its previously been poorly repaired as Matt found excessive filler in it, meaning he had to strip it to bare plastic and apply dolphin glaze to repair it.

This 2000 Honda S2000 has come in for some paint and rust corrections on its wheel arches, boot, bonnet and side panels. These minor imperfections are best caught early before the rust spreads to something more insidious.
The fabrication bay and paint shop will be working together to ensure that these minor imperfections don’t become major.
This 2000 Honda S2000 arrived today for some cosmetic TLC. With some paint chips and signs of rust, this little Honda just needs a small touch up and it’ll be ready to go. The perfect modern classic for summer cruising.
Our Honda’s TLC is mostly going to be concentrated around the wheel arches that need refurbishing.
