Under seal

Weekly Workshop Photo Gallery – 25th July 2025

Another week, another photo gallery! This week has been all go, with some new arrivals and a few leavers here at the Bridge Classic Cars HQ. The whole point of the photo gallery series is to show a different side to our restoration workshops, in more of a documentary style – with some grit and […]

Welcome Back

We have recently welcomed our 1979 Reliant Scimitar GTE back into the workshop. While it is with us, its engine will be removed for the relevant work to be completed.

Tailgate Seal

The tailgate glass of our 1979 Reliant Scimitar was carefully removed by the two Johns. Following this, the rubber boot seal was detached, and the edge was thoroughly cleaned to ensure a proper finish.

Inlet Manifold Gasket

Classic car technician Steve has been continuing his work on our 1979 Reliant Scimitar. He removed the inlet manifold so he was able to replace the leaking gasket. He also noticed that the coolant passage was blocked so this was unblocked and cleaned too.

Reliant Scimitar Gear Linkages

Steve has removed the gear linkage, stripped it down and cleaned. He is now for new bushes to arrive to be fitted. He has then moved on to cleaning up and fixing the headlamp wiring connectors where they have corroded and worn away.

Scimitar sees a few improvements from Steve

Steve has stripped down the boot lock mechanism to get to a broken bolt. He has removed the lock clean and replaced with clean tumblers ready for refit. Whilst working on the Scimitar Steve has gone ahead and fitted a new fuel filter too.
