Here at Bridge Classic Cars we have recently purchased this red 1970 Fiat 850. Until it gets a thorough inspection from our Classic Car Technicians, we’re unsure on the extent to which this lovely Fiat will need restoring. This vehicle will be available for sale, either in it’s current form or as a restoration project.
The Fiat 850 Spider was introduced at the 1965 Geneva Motor Show and came with a 843cc Fiat engine. The 850 super-seeded the Fiat 600 and was manufactured until 1973.
Designed by legendary Italian automotive styling company, Bertone, this Fiat really does embody all the best features of 1960s Italian sports cars.
The 850 did have its critics but we can’t help but fall in love with this little Italian beauty.
We’ve recently re-trimmed this Mercedes 560 Dash in this beautiful tan leather. The stitching is simply stunning and totally transforms the interior of this car.
Our MG A chassis has visited our in-house paint shop here at Bridge Classic Cars . It’s now back in the workshop ready for Paul to begin re-assembily. As with all of our restoration projects, we endeavour to refurbish components to as new quality. If we do have to replace components, it will always be with the highest quality parts for the vehicle. The next step will now be to build up the suspension units and then get it on wheels.
We’ve made great progress on our 1973 Triumph TR6 restoration in the past few weeks. Coming in as a complete restoration, the chassis is now fully prepared and painted. The fuel tank and radiator have been refurbished and painted to the highest standard. Next up for this TR6 is adding the suspension, running gear, engine and gearbox to our freshly prepared chassis.
Tuesday 10th December saw one of the last classic car auctions of 2019. At the Sandown Racecourse, Barons hosted another wonderful auction. We would like to extend our thanks to Barons for their wonderful hospitality. Below is a selection of the wonderful cars that were presented for auction.

This preventative maintenance is essential to keep our fleet of vehicles rolling along without any issues. Our 1972 Series 3 Jaguar E-type will now be brought back to our Suffolk workshop to continue this vehicle’s restorative works.
Upon close inspection, we’ve found a fault with the MGB’s Starter motor and Distributor. Ady, Bridge Classic Cars’ engine specialist is now on the case to either repair or replace the faulty components.
This weekend we picked up this lovely green MGB Roadster, soon to be up for sale with us at Bridge Classic Cars. Before it enters our showroom it will be subject to a full mechanical inspection, ensuring this lovely sports car is fighting fit for its next owner.
She’s really starting to look the part now! Our stunning E-type racecar is now sitting proudly on wheels. Painted in our in-house paint shop by Darren to match the metalic grey and with tyres fitted by Graeme from We Fit Any Tyres Anywhere.
Paul has also sourced new period correct gauges for our E-type to sit within our new look dashboard.

Our Jensen has emerged out of the paint shop and can be seen gleaming in the sun. Chris has done a fabulous job on our Jensen 541R. Black is arguably the hardest colour to get just right, however Chris has worked wonders, firstly preparing the panels to be perfectly smooth, before then applying this stunning deep black paint.
We arrived at Sandown Racecourse on Sunday with our 1971 MG B Roadster and 1991 BMW 318i Cabriolet, all prepared and ready for Tuesday’s Barons Christmas Classic Auction.
We popped back Monday to get a sneak peek of all the cars available on the day, all being positioned and cleaned ready for the big day tomorrow.
A lot of fantastic cars to look out for in this sale, we have our eye on one or two…
A lot of excitement surrounding the 2014 Land Rover Defender Works V8 70th Edition. One to watch would also be the 1967 Mercedes 250 SL Pagoda but with a room full of amazing classics it is sure to be a good day tomorrow.
We also bumped into Anthony James Saxon Kearsley of Lizard Lick Classic Motor Cars Ltd fame. Great to meet you and hear about your incredible collection of cars.

The door seals and cards have been refitted, as have the seats. John’s fitted sound deadening insulation underneath the floor carpets before re-installing the entire interior trim.
As is quite common with E30 BMW’s of this age, our lovely 325 M Sport is in need of some wheel arch repair. It’s now down with Darren in the Paint shop for fabrication and repair before being painted in identical matching paint.
