Greg carried out structural and bodywork repairs on our 1978 Mercedes 350SL, focusing on several key areas. He cut out and replaced the rear section of the frame near the sway bar to address corrosion and ensure the vehicle’s structural integrity. Further attention was given to the rear quarter panel, where necessary fabrication and shaping work were undertaken, along with repairs to the boot area and the rear arch on the driver’s side.
Work continued on the inner wheel housing at the rear on the driver’s side, where Greg repaired the inner fender well to restore correct form and stability. The front frame also required intervention, with rust damage removed and affected areas rebuilt to prevent further deterioration. These repairs contribute to the progressive restoration of our Mercedes, ensuring both safety and longevity.
