Our very rare 1969 Audi 70 has been in the Bridge Classic Cars paint shop. While it was there, the car was stripped in preparation to be painted.
Various parts of our 1969 Audi 70L have been removed and prepared for re-chroming. This will make a huge difference to the look of the car and it will be great to see it move forward in its restoration journey.
Both driver and passenger doors of our 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Volante have had all rusty sections cut out, new sections hand made and welded in. Jonn test assembled the new roof tent which has now been installed on our Defender. Once it was set up and photographed, he then took the tent down and folded it away. He then fitted the weatherproof cover and secured it.
The roof tent frame was bolted together ready to go on to our Land Rover Defender, followed by the mounting of the roof bars without fully tightening them. Lydia has been working on the interior panels of our 1976 Jensen Interceptor.
New rear red reflectors were fitted to our 2012 Land Rover Defender 90. The washer jet was removed and replaced, secured by bolting it through the bulkhead. Additionally, the centre dashboard was stripped as part of the work.
A pre-delivery inspection was carried out on our 1960 Austin Healey 3000. All tyres were inflated, and the wheels were secured. The battery was placed on charge, and a new bulb was fitted to the offside rear stop/tail/indicator, which was then tested. The headlining of our 2006 Jaguar XKR was removed due to sagging in the centre. A high-heat adhesive was applied, and the fabric was reattached securely to the board. The engine and gear box of our 1953 Aston Martin DB2/4 is now back at the Bridge Classic Cars workshop and will soon be reunited with the car.
Our 1976 Jensen Interceptor has been rubbed down by hand. Dents have also been rectified and the doors have been lined up with the body.
After welcoming our 2010 Maserati Gran Turismo into the workshop, paintwork has already begun. The rear quarter panel and both bumpers have been primed, masked up and painted.
Another bright and sunny shoot! This mini was a treat to film with. It’s so quirky and fun, Nick manages to portray that with the photos fantastically. Driving this on the country roads was a blast see it live on the competitions page of the website now.
Getting to drive this Aston Martin was brilliant. I think Aston Martin’s are quickly becoming my favourite cars to drive. Filming it felt easy as the beauty and style of the car shines through the camera.
