Pricey has been repairing one of the rear sides of the Honda Integra.
First of all, he welded a new inner arch, grinded it and then dressed it up. He then went on to fabricate the inner wheel arch. Next, was to clean surface corrosion off the outer wheel arch and treat it, panel beat out any damage, and prime with zinc.
The inner sills needed repairing as well, the sill closing and middle sill both had corrosion, and the lower sill panel had jack damage and corrosion. He welded and fabricated them all before going back in.

Pricey has been continuing his work on our 1998 Honda Integra. He’s currently making up a new rear wheel arch and shaping up the arch. When he removed the arch it revealed a rotten inner sill and inner arch which he has worked to improve.
DB9 Ceiling Lining

Kath and Brian have been working on recovering the ceiling lining in Craig’s Aston Martin DB9. Brian begun by undoing the side panels above the window and unclipping the headliner panel. He then removed the cover and foam so that he was able to glue the cover back down to the panel, making sure he glues the excess flap to the back. Once the headliner had its new cover, he could fit it back in place with Kath’s help.

We were lucky with the weather last night as we had the privilege of having the hanger doors open for the first part of the live to let the sunshine in. We even teased our beautiful racing Jaguar E-Type as a future possibility and revealed our upcoming competition car to be a beautiful blue mini! Stay tuned to find out more…
Riley visitor to Bridge HQ

Today we had a visit from John Pettifer who used to own our yellow 1951 Riley RMB currently in restoration.
John bought her from his wife’s uncle Peter Kearns who was the town sergeant in the police force in Steyning Sussex who had owned the Riley since 1960.
40 years later and in the year 2000 she was passed to John and his wife who parted with the RMB in 2005.
Peter was also the South of England Director and Secretary of the Riley Motor Club.

Bentley Continental Seats Re-covered

Lydia has been working on recovering a pair of Bentley Continental seats. She has done the whole process from start to finish by hand. She’s replaced the foam, cut new leather from templates she’s made from the old cover, fitted, stitched and glued the new seats together with a keen attention to detail.

Morris Minor’s Wheel Arch Repair

After a hit and run collision that left this little moggy with a severely dented rear wheel arch, we’ve begun our repair worked to get this Morris Minor back on the road. The damage was rather substantial and has needed James to fabricate in a new rear arch and panel which will later be painted.

Subaru bodywork restoration

This beautifully kept 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX STi in for what started out as a small rust repair. Leaving no stone unturned James has noticed corrosion into the arch and sill and has taken a ‘belt and braces’ approach to make sure this modern classic is fighting fir for many years to come. James has cut out any compromised metal and has fabricated a new driver’s side arch and part of the sill.

And here is the work in progress… We have elected to replace the rusted bumper brackets with new genuine Subaru parts.

Aston Martin DB2/4 Seat Creation

Brian has been taking apart the the covers from the rear base and squab seat on our Aston Martin DB2/4. He’s un-done the hinge from the bottom edge and top section of the squab and removed the rubber strips from their metal channels. Once he’d undone the metal trims, Brian then removes the tacks holding the squab to the wooden frame. He removed the cover and foam from the backboard and removed the trim from the top section. Brian then removed the side sections from top part of squab seat, undid the metal trim and removed all the wood from inside. He could then start peeling back the leather to reveal the metal trim and undo the rivets to remove back sections. Finally he removed the base foam to leave the metal tub ready to be cleaned and painted.

The vintage sports car set includes a 1964 Aston Martin DB5, a 1964 Shelby Cobra 289, a 1970 Lamborghini Miura P400 S, a 1965 Maserati Mistral Spider, a 1964 Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8-Litre Coupe, a 1973 Maserati Ghibli 4.9 SS Coupe and a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window Coupe.
Science Fiction Becomes Reality: Flying Cars Are On The Horizon

The future has arrived. A prototype of a flying car just completed it 142nd successful test flight which was a 35minute journey between two Slovakian cities.
AirCar is a hybrid vehicle designed to be both driven on the roads and flown however it does need a runway to take off. Its able to fly about 600 miles and can transform into an aircraft in just under 3 minutes.
Klein Vision, who have developed have said that the BMW powered vehicle can get to a maximum cruising speed of 118mph thanks to its 160hp engine.
Two people can ride in the AirCar as long as the total weight is under 200kg.
Klein said that the recent test flight has turned ‘science fiction into a reality’ with experts predicting flying cars will be on the market as soon as 2030.
