The return of our 1967 Jaguar E-Type

It will be lovely to see the return of our 1967 Jaguar E-type into the workshops on Tuesday next week. Having now been on the road for some time with it’s new owner it is time to go over the odd snags and the first full service since leaving us. Mauro has been on the road all day today and the car is now with us ready for next week.

1956 Land Rover Series One Coughs Into Life

Ady, Bridge Classic Cars’ engine specialist has got our Series One Land Rover fired back into life. After several years stood still, she is in need of some TLC to get back to her best.

To get the engine running Ady has rebuilt the carb. There is still plenty of work still for Ady to do to get this engine running perfectly. Once we’ve completed work on the engine we will bring the car into the workshop and begin the restoration.

1961 Morris Mini Deluxe in paint

Our 1961 Morris Mini Deluxe is starting to take shape in the beautiful, original Cherry Red finish.

Darren has now completed the priming stage of the entire shell and has given the underside it’s first coat of Cherry Red.

Our 1957 Triumph TR3 Mille Miglia returns

This week we see the return of our absolutely stunning 1957 Triumph TR3, Mille Miglia approved classic. We are even more excited to announce that very soon this car will be made available as a competition prize for some lucky person to own and cherish and MAYBE even enjoy the Mille Miglia celebrations themselves…imagine that!!

Very soon, this could be yours!

1973 Triumph TR6 Components In the Spray Booth

Mauro has sent a load of components needed for our TR6 restoration through to Chris in the Paint shop. Chris has now painted all the metalwork and it is ready for Mauro to continue assembly on the car. Great work guys.

Lovely work, Darren

E-Type Racecar Carburettors

Ady, Bridge Classic Cars’ engine specialist has got our E-Type fired into life. Ady has noticed an occasional misfire.

He has stripped the 45 Weber carb as there was a misfire on cylinder 6. Upon closer inspection, the tiny mixture screw had broken off. Ady’s now ordered up a new screw and will be reassembling the carburettors.

I think it’s fair to say Oscar is pretty pleased with the recent addition to his garage.

Congratulations Oscar. We’re glad to hear you are enjoying your Esprit.

1967 Jaguar E-Type Racecar – Engine Running

Ady has got our Jaguar E-Type Racecar engine up and running. She’s currently running a bit rich but Ady will have her running at her best in no time at all.

The workshop ground to a halt for a few minutes to hear this beast bark into life. Now this car really does feel like it’s nearing completion.

Some for the future: Triumph TR6 and Porsche 911

We had a brief visit today from the owner of this wonderful iconic whale-tail Porsche 911. This could be a new project for our paint shop very soon with all four arches needing attention.

Having seen our recent Triumph TR6 hardtop refurbishment, the owner of another has been in touch enquiring as to whether we could carry out a similar restoration of his hardtop. Again, this could be a possible future project for our paintshop.

RS Turbo coming soon to the hangar

Unfortunately not for a competition I’m afraid. The owner has been restoring the car for some time now but due to work commitments overseas has asked us to store and maintain the car whilst he is away.

We’ll soon be making space at the hangar for our latest addition.

We offer car storage solutions so if you have a classic that needs a home for the winter please feel free to get in touch to see what we have to offer.

1991 Rover Mini arriving

Tamas has been out this morning collecting the latest addition to our workshops, our 1991 Rover Mini 1000 City E.

The car is almost ready to go, with a little paint work to address and we may look to change the modern hubcaps for something more in-keeping with the character and age of the car.

Mini Deluxe ready for paint preparation

The new metalwork has been fitted and the repairs have been completed. The body shell can now venture into the paint shop to be prepared, ready for paint. The body will soon be brought back to the original Cherry red ready to be refitted.

Due in to the workshops Dec 2020

It has been a 12 year project for the current owner having carried out almost all of the restoration works himself. The car is 99% complete and we have been asked to go over the car and do a final commission to ensure everything is as it should be.

We look forward to see the car in at the beginning of December.

Aston Martin DB5 – Goldfinger Continuation

0️⃣0️⃣7️⃣

An Aston Martin DB5 has just rolled off the production line, more than 50 years since the last DB5.

“The DB5 is, without question, the most famous car in the world by virtue of its 50-plus year association with James Bond. To see, the first customer car finished, and realise that this is the first new DB5 we have built in more than half a century, really is quite a moment.”

Marek Reichman, Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin Lagonda

What do you think of this new DB5? Priced at a cool £2.75 million, this is one for Bond fans with seriously deep pockets.
