A morning of new arrival photos

I cornered Nick this morning as he arrived in the office. I noticed how we were very much behind in our arrival photos which is not good and not something we orinarily get behind in.

When a car arrives in to Bridge Classic Cars HQ, the first position is the imporant one as this is where the arrival photos are taken, outside the front doors of the Classic Lounge and the first point you see of Bridge Classic Cars when you first arrive.

Most of the cars below are our own cars but there’s still no excuse to missing the arrival photos so this morning has been spent pushing, pulling and driving our cars into position.

1965 Jaguar Mk2 340 – destined to be a future competition car. The car arrived to us as a non runner with the brakes seized on, having spent many years stored away. A full recommission will take place to get it ready for the giveaway.

Our 1969 Morgan 4/4 returns from a brief loan out to one of our good friends for a recent trip to Norfolk.

We are unsure on the final placement of our 1973 MG B Roadster, it could become a competition car or it could make it’s way on to MyClassics and be available to buy.

Then we have our 1989 Rover Mini in for a sympathetic restoration. First job was to give the car a full clean to freshn up the look. This project will start later in the year.

1992 Lotus Elan SE, one of two that arrived in from the same owner. I would love to keep hold of this car for myself due to the impressively low mileage but we’ll see. Our 1995 Lotus Elan was a huge hit at this year’s Festival of Classic & Sports Cars at Helmingham Hall. As the headline sponsor we had a lot of our cars on display on our stand outside the hall and our yellow Elan certainly got some attention so we believe both could make very successful competition cars. We’ll see…

And one of the best example Aston Martin DB7’s we’ve had into our workshops. If the success of our recent Aston Martin AM V8 is anything to go by I predict another fast sell out on this one.

It’s not often we have a Jensen 541 in the workshops not requiring a restoration but we have today. Work will continue on a general recommission before we find this beauty a new home.
