280SL Door Card

Jonn attended to the insecure driver’s door card on our 1997 Mercedes 280SL by stripping and removing the panel. Upon inspection, he found that the top of the panel was damaged where it should fit into the weather strip clips, and two fixings were missing.

He removed the weather strip and repositioned the clips along the door to allow for a better fit. New panel clips were fitted, and suitable screws were sourced to replace the missing ones. The door panel was then refitted and securely fastened.

A test of the seat control functions confirmed they were operating correctly.
