Jonn’s latest work on our 1994 Rover 220 Turbo involved returning the car’s audio system to its factory specification.

First, the aftermarket stereo and its mounting cage were removed from the dash. In its place, he installed the original Rover radio cage, ensuring a proper and secure fit for the stock unit. With the correct connector sourced, the wiring was carefully desoldered and reattached to the factory plug on the back of the original radio.

The aerial, which had seen better days, was also repaired. A section of heat shrink wrap helped restore its integrity, before being securely screwed back into the roof.

Once everything was back in place, the radio was powered up and tested. A quick tune-in confirmed it was all working as it should.
