Classic bike for sale – 1961 Francis Barnett 85 Works Trials Bike
Found by a good friend of Bridge Classic Cars in a garage in the north of Scotland back in August 2018. We enlisted the expert services of classic bike restoration specialist JAL Restorations to produce a museum quality rebuild.
During the build our bike was discovered to be a very rare 250cc in which we know of no other. The 250cc engine is an original Francis Barnett built engine rather than the Villiers replacement so often seen. Further investigation revealed this to be one of very few factory works bikes.
Every part of this bike is as new. The engine and gearbox has been fully rebuilt to exacting standards.
This is a road legal trials bike and is present with a current UK V5
FB Factory records state: 1960/1962 Trials 85
