MG TD Service Results

Scott has carried out a service on our MG TD and found that it only needs its rear left wheel cylinder replacing as it was leaking. Other than that, its had the normal checks, oil changed and been re-greased so once the wheel cylinder is replaced, its good to go again!

MG TD In For Service

This pristine 1952 MG TD is back in for a service and a check over. Stay tuned to see what may need to be done on this lovely classic.

1952 MG TD: remedial works to be carried out

Prior to our 1952 MG TD heading off to it’s new home, we need to carry out a few small but very important improvements to the car.

The battery has become tired over time. Having checked the performance of the current battery we will be required to fit a new one in order for it to keep charge and consistency.

Under the bonnet and within the engine bay the paint has started to bubble where it has met with some toxic substance.

The leak has been detected and repaired, the area surrounding has been cleared of all components. We have removed all of the paint back to bare metal and treated the area in order for it to dry and remain uncontaminated.

New Arrival: For Sale: 1952 MG TD

Built in 1952 this is, without doubt, the nicest MGTD we have ever seen.

Finished in flawless maroon and trimmed in a superb biscuit leather.

The car was shipped new to a lady Professor in Alabama, and it stayed with her until she and the car expired around 1980.

About 2010 it was returned to the U.K. by Tom Wilkes, the then Chief Body Shop Engineer at P&A Woods for a 5 year meticulous personal renovation.

On completion Tom, sold the car to its current owner, as he had developed a knee problem.

It has done very little work since then.

The car comes with extensive history, with pictures of the find and renovation.

She comes complete with tonneau,  tool roll, period tools, side and aero screens.

The car has resided in the beautiful Suffolk town of Southwold (Adnams country) and is now being offered for sale by Bridge Classic Cars on behalf of its current owner.

Two for the future

We are currently in the early discussions with the view of representing two fantastic British classics which may be able to bring to market very soon.

First we have our 1969 MGBGT. Having been beautifully restored a few years ago the car will not need a lot to get her back on the road and ready for the summer trips.

Next, we have our beautiful 1952 MGTD. The car was shipped new to a lady professor in Alabama and stayed with her until she and the car expired around 1980. In 2010 (approximately) the car was then brought back to the UK by Tom Wilkes, Chief Body Shop Engineer at P&A Woods for a 5 year meticulous renovation.
